Dry Creek Vineyard 2006 Dry Chenin Blanc

Recently, my husband and I enjoyed a simple, yet romantic, dinner of cheese and crackers, as we had found an excellent cheese counter at a new-to-us grocery store.  Although we typically favor a red wine, it seemed that most varietals would overpower the delicate flavors of our goat cheese, mozzarella, and champignon.  To compliment the cheeses, we decided that a Chenin Blanc would be best.

Beer Review: Grimbergen, Blonde

In the tradition of Belgium beers, like Leffe, we have the Grimbergen Brewery and this fine ale.  Last fall I sampled the Grimbergen Double Ale and really enjoyed it, matter of fact I bought a few pints for some friends when I met them at Strangebrew.  Since the weather is getting warmer I thought it would be appropriate to start things off with a light, crisp ale to get us out of the slump of winter.
