Beer Review: Saranac, Summer Brew Lager and Lemonade

I had no idea that Saranac made a summer beer and was excited to pick one up and take it home. In college I was introduced to Saranac by their Black and Tan which was the cheapest six-pack at any store. I’ve sampled several of their beers and was glad to add this to my list. You may recall the shandy that I reviewed last summer, this beer falls in the same category.
If you mix a light lager with lemonade, you have what many Europeans call a shandy, a refreshing beverage that doesn’t have the high alcohol content...

I try to hit Strangebrew at least once a month to check out their new beers and try anything that I haven’t already had many times before. We met up with some friends, and I was quickly recommended the Summerfest by Sierra Nevada. I figured since I had luck with my last Sierra Nevada beer, this one would fall right in line.
Summerfest looks like your typical summer ale: pale sort of color, crisp aroma, maybe a hint of fruit. Let me tell you that this is not your typical summer ale. I was excited to find out that this...
