I like beers that come with instructions. On the label of this beer it tells you to pour ¾ of the bottle into a glass, swirl the bottle and pour the rest on top. If you haven’t guessed already, this is a hefeweizen. Hefeweizens are one of my favorite beer styles for the summer: unfiltered, hazy appearance and a light bitter taste. Kellerweis scores on all levels.

Earlier last week there was a fire in southern New Hampshire. It was a raging inferno consuming most of Merrimack. Thankfully, there was a golden ale on hand to douse the flames and keep everything under control. Yes, it was hot last week, and I might have been on fire, but sometimes the right beer can really quell your thirst.
