Enough time has passed, and now that the weather is get better, I thought it was about time to brew another beer. I had three choices in my variety pack: a wheat beer, an Octoberfest or a Candian style ale. I opted for the wheat beer since it will be the lightest in body of the three and this is the time of year to drink wheat beers. Considering the success of my first attempt, I’m hoping for repeat business.
What will you do different this time? Excellent question. I think this time I’ll let the beer age a little longer. Last time I waited the minimum amount of days and started to drink it. I noticed that a few bottles I had let sit for a longer amount of time aged better and had a smoother taste. I haven’t reached a point where I’m going to add in fruit or more hops, I’m not that adventurous.
Will you be using plastic bottle again this time? Another great question, I’ve managed to gather a few glass bottles that I’m going to use as well. According to many things I’ve read online: using glass bottles gives the beer a better flavor and can hold the carbonation a bit better. I’ll try anything once to see how it works.
Are you going to give this beer a snappy name? Wow, that is a tough one, I’m going to work on a name for it but I know it won’t be Whispering Wheat. That name implies that I can’t yell around the beer because it may be taking a nap and you don’t want to wake it. I’m not sure what I’ll name the beer but it’ll be something good. Well, that is all the time we have this week, folks. Thanks for the great questions.
