Bottle/Tap: Bottle
Leaving the cheap stuff behind, I’m back on track to drinking beer with some complexity and character. I am no stranger to Geary’s from Maine, having had a memorable experience with their Pale Ale a while back, and I decided to give their seasonal brew a try. As usual I walk into one of these situations with some level of expectation and then I’m in for a surprise when something comes out of left field.
There was no shock in the color of this beer, a light copper tone as I poured it out and let the

Keep It Cheap

Some occasions call for certain specific beverages: glorious victories call for champagne, a quiet evening needs a warm brandy, and winning some kind of NASCAR event means you drink milk. When one of your buddies is getting married in a week and his bachelor party consists of fishing on a boat and grilling ribs, sausage, drumsticks and your catch of the day, you need something extra special. Nah, you need something sentimental. Better yet, you need a bunch of cheap crap that will make the good beer you drink taste amazing. We compiled the best assortment of cheap beer
Harpoon Summer Vacation Pack

Now that I have a ‘real job’ that prohibits me from taking months of time off when the weather is warmer, I look for escape wherever I can find it and, in my quest to review variety packs for the masses, it seems that Harpoon can whisk me away to warmer climates and sunshine. Enough mumbo jumbo and let us get to the beer in my hand: this is a solid variety pack by one of my favorite brewers.
With four beers to try from I went with the newest brew: Bohemian Pilsner. I’m happy to report that this beer

My buddy brought over a 12-pack, I had tortilla chips and salsa ready; what more do you need? Pouring the beers in glasses I noted the reliable dark color coming through in my pint. Slicing a

Last Wednesday, if you were a sensible New Englander, your eyes were glued to NBC as the Boston Bruins took Lord Stanley’s back to Boston in a crazy game seven. To help the Bruins get their victory, I was wearing my lucky shirt and decided to kick the game off with a brew from Boston itself. I had heard a lot about this IPA and was waiting for a proper time to unleash the beast. The time came, and this beer did not disappoint.
There was a nice amber hue to this beer as it sat in my glass.
