Double Cross Vodka

With so many different vodkas on the market, how are you to know which is the one to choose?  It probably depends on what you’re expecting in the vodka.  If you are seeking a vodka that is smooth and makes the perfect ingredient in an elegant cocktail, Double Cross is the right choice.

Launched in September 2008, this product is now available 38 states and Slovakia.  While Slovakia may seem to be unique for the one non-American location, it isn’t.  Double Cross is produced at a family-run distillery in Slovakia under the direction of Dr. Jan Krak, a master distiller.

What does make Double Cross unique?  First, this vodka is distilled seven times.  (The typical amount is three to five.)  It also is filtered seven times, which produces a smooth vodka.  Next, this vodka is packaged in a patented, award-winning bottle.  The bottle design has won gold medals at San Francisco World Spirits Competition, among others.  Additionally, the back of the bottle is etched with Slovak poetry.

A two and a half year old company, Double Cross has made steady and continuous growth with business doubling, and tripling, in some markets.  When I asked director of marketing, Jase Kim about this increase during a recession, he replied, “People are aspirational about what they drink.”

As the founder of Double Cross, Malcolm Lloyd, is a doctor, this company has chosen to partner with an assortment of health-related charities.  Included in the list is the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  Double Cross has partnered with differently affiliated charities, such as the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation.

A clean, smooth taste.  A beautiful bottle.  An affinity for working with charities.  Yes, Double Cross does seem to be the perfect choice for vodka.
