Cocktails, Mixed Drinks

Anyone that knows me understands that I have no love lost on the French.  But that doesn’t mean they don’t contribute mightily to the libations that I often consume.  Be it a great French Bordeaux or a wonderful cognac, the French are crafters of fine consumables.

It is cognac that inspired my latest concoction, the Fuzzy French Kiss.

  • 1 part cognac (I used a VSOP Hennessey since it was being mixed)
  • 1 part almond liqueur
  • 2 parts seltzer
  • ice

Fill a martini shaker with ice, and add cognac and almond liqueur. Shake vigorously.  Pour over more ice into a lowball glass. Add seltzer, and stir.

Garnish with cherries and/or an orange slice.

Although I might not like the French,  I like this drink.

Why, thank you for the backhanded compliment! I’m of French descent, but I am glad to know that even though you hate our guts, you like or fancy drinks! You don’t like the French, huh? Well, I don’t like morons who create blogs bitching about how the hate the French but still drink their wines. You sound like a typical bi-polar American, (or brit).
