Dogfish Head, Fort

by J Frazzetta on August 29th, 2011 | Beer
Bottle/Tap: Bottle, pint +9

While digging through my box of beers, I realized that I hadn’t reviewed a Dogfish Head in quite some time and I ought to remedy that.  To be honest with you folks, this beer was purchased almost a year ago and was bottled in 2009 according to the date stamp; did that sway me?  Not in the least, considering it says right on the label that this beer "ages with the best of’em".  Taking this into consideration I grabbed my big glass and cracked this monster open.

Before I could throw the cap away there was

Left Behind

by J Frazzetta on January 10th, 2011 | Beer
I have to admit that I have not been up to snuff with my beer tasting due to the fact that my sinuses are stuffed and that seems to cramp my style for enjoying beer.  Rather than waste my time on something great that I can’t taste, I will fill that void with something awful that I can taste.  We decided to have friends over for the holidays and when you tell people to bring something to drink you will get a mix of results.  Some are good, while others are quite the opposite of good case in point:

A few weeks ago Parched No More received an offer to try a new beverage created by 12 Beverage.  Of course, the immediate reply was, "Certainly!"

We received two samples:  12 noon to midnight original and 12 noon to midnight rouge.  As noted on their website,  "12 noon to midnight is a sophisticated and culinary inspired non-alcoholic beverage perfect for every occasion noon to midnight. Developed by legendary American chefs David Burke and Alfred Portale, 12 noon to midnight is a delicious and healthy alternative to soda, wine, beer and sparkling apple and grape juices."  These would

Puzzle Me Pomegranate Martini

by Michele on January 14th, 2010 | Cocktails, Martinis
As a best friend, you have varying responsibilities.  Being available to listen, helping when an extra set of hands is needed, remembering the little details that matter.  And sometimes you need to create a cocktail for you and your best friends to enjoy while you build the 1,000 piece puzzle that they received as a Christmas gift.  Seriously.

Last Saturday we had a date night planned with our friends, OT and Vicki.  After dinner at a restaurant we planned to return to their house and work on the thousand piece puzzle OT had received.  I asked, jokingly, if we would be
