For such a ubiquitous cocktail, the Cosmo hasn't been around for that long. A quick run-down of the drink's etymology suggests that the drink is younger than many of its drinkers (though perhaps not younger than they claim to be.) The Cosmo isn't a terrible drink, if it's made correctly, though its association with Sex and the City gives it an unfortunate link to stuck-up socialites and bachelorette parties.

I don't like the taste of alcohol and I'm on a diet so I can't spend a lot of calories on a drink. What drinks can you suggest that:
1. don't taste like alcohol and
2. are low in calories?
Other than water, seltzer, black coffee, or diet soda?
Honestly, there's only so much we can do to reduce the amount of calories in a drink. Each shot of liquor (or five-ounce glass of wine, or 12-ounce beer) contains about 100 calories that come strictly from the alcohol. Science has yet to give us a diet alcohol (and I'm not sure we should

Married to a Baltimore native but living in New England, the amount of Ravens games that we can watch are limited.
