While digging through my box of beers, I realized that I hadn’t reviewed a Dogfish Head in quite some time and I ought to remedy that. To be honest with you folks, this beer was purchased almost a year ago and was bottled in 2009 according to the date stamp; did that sway me? Not in the least, considering it says right on the label that this beer "ages with the best of’em". Taking this into consideration I grabbed my big glass and cracked this monster open.

I'm always a little put-off when people ask me for a particular drink recipe. "How do you make that?" If it didn't sound so glib, my response would always begin with "Well, how do you want it?"

Hi everyone,
After a fabulous Kentucky Derby weekend, it seems the ideal time to create a cocktail that will keep the spirit of the derby alive for months to come. With the combination of Maker's Mark (the official bourbon of the Kentucky Derby) and fresh fruit, one can't helped but be transported to Kentucky on a warm spring afternoon. Although the next derby is a year away, this drink will keep it vividly in mind.
Named for my favorite horse in the Derby's history, Smarty Jones, I hope it presents as well as this great horse did.

Why bother eating your daily dose of fruits, when you can drink them with your already delicious beer? True, there is no nutritional value to a fruit ale, but I am allowed to dream. For those people that want to enjoy something a little more refreshing for the summer, I always recommend a good fruit beer. Here are a few I always turn to in a pinch:
