With the recent heat wave here in New Hampshire (it was almost 40 last week), I thought it would be nice to sample a beer that wasn’t brewed for the Arctic Tundra.  This particular beer was a limited release from last spring, but oh well -- better late than never.  Before drinking this beer I thought it would be smart to do some reading on braggots.  This style of beer is a close cousin to meads, which means it contains honey. Beer Review: Widmer Brothers, Drifter

Several weeks ago at the Wicked Wine and Brewfest I had the chance to sample some of this pale ale but hadn’t found it anywhere since.  Recently, I happened to walk through the beer section of a local supermarket and found a six-pack of this delightful brew just waiting for me.  I was pretty happy to find this and take it home to see if it was good as I remembered.
